Provides a Benefit to the Environment |
In standard demolition practice, a structure is leveled and the debris is hauled away to a landfill. Often, there are many good and useful materials that are thrown away. These items can easily be removed prior to demolition and be reused or repurposed: windows, doors, cabinets, countertops, appliances, heating/air conditioning systems, plants and landscape materials. WasteNot solves the waste problem by removing useful building materials from existing structures before demolition.

Provides a Benefit to
|
WasteNot donates usable materials to other non-profit groups that build affordable housing, and to “greenfocused” non-profits involving the arts, agriculture and horticulture. They will also sell to the general public who are looking to affordably upgrade their homes.
|
Provides a Benefit to you; Tax-Wise! |
Conventional demolition costs you money with no return. By donating materials that can be repurposed, you will receive a significant income tax deduction for the appraised value of the removed building materials. It is considered a non-cash charitable contribution, IRS Form 8283. Because it is socially and ecologically responsible, partnering with WasteNot promotes a positive public image and can be used toward LEED certification.
